This week, NFR25's Catalyzer campaign wrapped, and with the help of friends, family, and alumni, the team raised $7,824. The money raised will go toward buying stock for mechanical projects, components for electrical boards, and materials for member education. The team is extremely grateful for the continued support from the community.

During the fundraising period, the designs for the car's hubs and uprights were officially finalized. Bearings have been requested from sponsor SKF, and the hubs have received manufacturing approval from sponsor Janler Corporation. The team aims to have the hubs in hand by January to allow time for anodizing before the rolling chassis deadline.

On the electrical side, incoming members neared the end of the electrical education curriculum developed by DAQ Lead Evan Bertis-Sample. As they finish this training, they’ve been assigned to specific electrical subteams, such as Data Acquisition, Power Distribution, and Drivetrain Electronics, each of which is focused on a critical aspect of the car’s electrical system. Each subteam has dedicated projects, allowing new members to apply their training and start contributing directly to the build process. This approach ensures that incoming members are not only learning but also actively participating in key developments that will support the car's electrical systems for the season ahead.

As always, our team is very open to feedback from our alumni, so please feel free to reach out!

See you next week,
