For the first time in NFR history, the team got an electric car driving before competition. Over the weekend, the team tested all electrical enclosures on the bench before putting them on the car. In parallel, Chassis trimmed the floors and firewall, and Suspension reassembled the corners.
In terms of the remaining segment that was left out for First Drive, the team spot-welded over the broken bonds. To ensure the cells weren't internally damaged, the team went through several charge/discharge cycles at different current levels until the average predicted current output for endurance was reached.
Moving forward, the team will be completing the projects that were not drive-critical, such as the aerodynamics package and ARBs.
