This week was a big week for the electrical side of the team: drive critical components, like the motor, inverter, and dashboard, were tested on the bench and were validated to work with an accumulator segment. The team first tested the system with the power supply provided by sponsor Tektronix and Testforce before moving to the accumulator segment. After Spring Break, the team will test the system with the entire accumulator.

 

The mechanical side has also been working hard to finish up the rest of the tasks necessary to hit first drive. The accumulator mounts were bonded to the container, and tabs for smaller parts of the car were waterjet and sandblasted. The low-voltage battery is also coming along, with the container about to have its design finalized and sent to sponsor Bystronic for manufacturing.
