Get Inside The Game - As part of Manchester Science Festival the National Football Museum are hosting 3 two hour Scratch sessions making football related Scratch games and animations. The staff are all really keen to get involved but it would be great if we could help them out a bit for this event as for most it will be the first time they use Scratch in public. It's on Sunday 25th October running from 10am - 4pm (10-12, 12-2, 2-4) and there will be 16 kids at each session, you wouldn't need to do all 3 sessions.
Chorlton Book Festival - A hands-on taster session using Scratch to make some games and animations. The sessions are 2 hours long and run on different days, the first is Mon 23 Nov at Chorlton Library 4.30-6.30 and the second is tbc but will be held at Barlow Moor Community Association.
Play Expo 10th October from 10am - the expo is back at Event City and this year has a bigger education zone ( http://www.playexpo.net/2015/09/11/education-zone-at-play-expo ) , we're going to do 20minute sessions starting on the hour with 40minutes to have a wander before the next group. Since there's not a lot you can do in 20minutes we'll be using a quick pong game created by the University of Brighton though if the kids want to do their own thing or try out a few Scratch cards then that will be great too.
