Working in pairs

Hi folks, we are starting a club in Liverpool on Friday and we have had a really good response from our pupils but I may need to either disappoint some children or allow 2 pupils per PC.

Has anyone else done this?

Awesome to hear there’s another Code Club starting in Liverpool! Whereabouts? (I’m part of a group setting one up at Liverpool Central Library, coming in January 2016.)

I think it’s a relatively common thing for kids to work in pairs. We’re certainly planning on doing it, as long as we get the numbers. And it got mentioned a few times in last week’s #CCUKchat, as a way of keeping kids motivated and on-track:

I find that the majority of the children don't mind whether they are in pairs or have a PC each.... some even insist on working in pairs :) 

Maybe you could have spaces for a couple less than 2 per PC, that way if anyone really does want to work on their own you have the option to let them - or if you notice any pair that isn't quite working well together you can be a bit more flexible.
