Anyone going cruising might want to check out this handy folding dock
cart, recently refurbished, with excellent inner tube management
by Vince Depillis. It survived the 1/4 mile trek uphill from Spencer
Spit beach to the campground many times last week, and is ready for
more action. Now part of the tool library.

Thanks for the library addition Bill. Will live at your house?

Awesome!  Thanks Bill!

I have added it to the list.

For anyone who is unfamiliar... the NWMA Tool Librarian (currently me) keeps a list of tools and their locations.  If you want to borrow a tool let me know.  The basic loan rule is that if you are the borrower, you have to go to the tool to pick up... and you have to store the tool until someone else needs it.  Currently the list of items is as follows:
Warehouse Racks (8 vertical trusses and 8 spreader bars) for boat flipping or enclosure creation
Lifting Straps (4)
Load Cell
Boat Stands (2)
Boat Stands (2)
Loos Gauge (1)
Loos Gauge (1)
Aluminum Dock Cart
Farrier Beam Bolt Speed Wrench

Fine with me if it roams like the rest of the tools. I will probably
use it once a year.

Is “excellent inner tube management” covered in Chapman’s or any of Nigel Calder’s books?

Yes, under "first aid". I wrestled with them until I started bleeding,
then I gave up and went to Vince's garage.

Hi Jeff I had a question in regards to the tool library. I am considering doing the bottom paint and top paint myself around late September. We have a Corsair F31. I do not have the boat stands to keep the ammas spread out on land.

Is 4 stands enough to keep the boat up supported under the beams without the trailer? Are the stands available through the tool Library? Is there a waiting list to use?

Any advice would be appreciated. Looking to tackle myself to learn the process. I was able to watch the YouTube video put out by the club in the last two years.

Hi William!

Yep...  The four stands are enough to hold an F31.  I have used it on my boat many times... one pad under each beam just outboard of the strut.  Make sure the stands are oriented so they are pointing inward towards the boat (the stands are slightly angled).  I can leave my trailer under (or remove it) with the stands fully raised.  When you get them, if you have questions, let me know.

Two of the stands are at my house... two more are with Scott Bushnell (sbush...@gmail.com).

Tool Library Rules:
There is no physical tool library
If you checked out a tool, you are responsible for its continued existence in the Tool Library
If you are checking out a tool, you are responsible for picking it up from whomever is currently caring for it.
If you check out a tool, you are responsible for storing it until the next person needs it.  If you can not store it, you are responsible for finding a club member who can and delivering it there.
