Northwest Multi Hull Regatta - May 15 through 17

Hi all—I wanted to extend an invitation to all of you to come up and join us at the regatta, regardless of whether you are bringing a boat.   We will have shop tour Friday evening, and a dinner Saturday evening, and the more the merrier.  Let me know ASAP so we can order dinner.  We will charge our cost for the dinner if you don’t have a boat in the regatta, which is about 16.00 per head.

 

Also—we have a couple of boats that could use crew.  Please contact me if you think you might be interested in crewing.   There will be a couple of boats leaving from Shilshole Friday morning, so you could hitch a ride up, and maybe even back.

Hey everyone,

In addition to what Vince mentioned, I was thinking we could use this email to communicate, not only offers or needs of a ride for the race but also if you are contemplating a day trip to spectate or have dinner with us one of the days.

If you are  thinking about driving up for just the day why don't you add to this email, even if you haven't firmed up you plan.  Spontaneous, morning-of decisions are often workable so add your thinking now, on this email, so others can add similar thoughts.  If you decide to go last minute a few phone calls would make the drive more interesting and save you some $$$.  My wife is thinking of doing this Saturday and if you are thinking the same let us know and she will get in touch with you.  We enjoy getting to know people in ways like this.  206 525-8472

I'll start with my offer:

 If you want a ride to or from Port Townsend I have some room.  You are even welcome to pitch a tent on the boat net overnight, but the cabin is full.

I am leaving Shilshole Fri AM in my Corsair 31.    I'll sail back immediately after the last race Sunday, unless its really really nasty, then I'll stay over or call my wife to bale us out. 

My wife (Marilyn) may drive up one of the days and she'll have room.  TBD  that week when the weather and her schedule become clear.  Give us a call if you are considering this also.  206 525-8472

Also one of my crew would like to get back earlier afternoon Sunday and he is considering some kind of car shuttle so you may be able to get a ride back to Seattle a little earlier that day.

So…. to use this email as a clearing house for those with similar intentions needing or wanting a ride or just thinking about driving up for the day please reply.
