Hello Intrepid NWMA regatta participants—
We have 8 boats registered for our regatta, including a bunch of new boats which I am very much looking forward to seeing.
We will be at the “North Guest Dock 6”, same as last year. I have attached a map of the marina which shows our reserved stalls.
Detail:

We invite Seattle-area boats to sail in convoy up to Everett Friday evening. We will leave Meadow Point buoy to Port at 2 PM GPS time. First boat to tie up at Everett has bragging rights.
Friday evening, join us for happy hour at Scuttlebutt brewery, which is immediately adjacent to the guest dock, starting at 6 PM. We have dinner reservations at 6PM for for 20, so come early.
Saturday we will have an informal distance race, course dependent on conditions, to be announced at a 9AM skippers meting on the dock. If it is really light, we may just make it around Gedney (aka Hat Island), which would be about 8 miles round trip. If we have nice wind, we will head up to the green can #1 at the head of Holmes Harbor (about 27 miles round trip). Start time will be 10 AM , starting at the Green Can Buoy “AO” which is 0.8 miles south east of the mouth of the Everett harbor. We will make the course decision Friday evening, and distribute it by email. We will calculate corrected times per PHRF ratings if you have one.
Saturday evening will have a BBQ on a party barge at the guest dock. The Club will provide a burgers, beer and sides.
Sunday morning (9am start) we will try something new—a race to the Gedney Island Green Can #1, just off the south tip of Gedney Island, just two miles from the “AO” buoy. The new part is that the middle boat wins (or middle two boats, if we have an even number). And for those returning south, a friendly race back to Shilshole.
PLEASE JOIN US! $10 BUCKS PER PERSON GETS YOU THE SATURDAY BBQ. YOU PAY FOR YOUR OWN MOORAGE, WHICH IS CHEAP AND AVAILABLE. WE WILL RESERVE 10 SLIPS TO START WITH, AND ADJUST AS WE SEE WHAT ATTENDANCE IS LOOKING LIKE.
In line with keeping this simple, you don’t have to sign up on the web site, or any such complicated stuff. Just email Vince DePillis at vdep...@rp-lawgroup.com, and let me know you are coming. Or call me at (206) 909-5655.
Hope to see you there!
Vince DePillis.

Does anyone have a very large tarp or party tent that they can bring for Saturday BBQ?
Last year a tent helped make the Saturday BBQ party great even though it was raining. Last year Neal and Marty brought a large tent but I don’t think they are coming this time.
Tonight I hope to see you at Scuttlebutt Brewery at marina. 6 pm reservations for 20 people, name is northwest-multihull-association.
