Calling all the introverts in the group, this is a reminder that the
STYC singlehanded race is
this Saturday. Currently two multihulls are entered, Tatiana and Hidden Dragon - let's make this one of
the multihull events of the year.
Multihulls are a great platform for single-handing, if it's windy, no need for a huge crew to keep the boat upright, or if it's light air, our light boats are lighter still with no crew they can ghost along. And a Screacher makes an easily handled downwind
sail (that's what I'll be doing).
The rules allow an autopilot (those that just fitted one have no excuse - here's looking at you, Vince!). If you don't have one, just wrap a bungee stretched across the cockpit around the tiller to hold it in place.
Here's hoping to see some more NWMA folks out on Saturday!
Cheers,
Bill
