Greetings Multihullers!
Well, the year 2025 is
drawing to an end. Thinking about the year, and knowing only a
fraction of what you all achieved and experienced, a few things stood
out for me:
Bill
Gibson’s Dragonfly was a lot faster than we thought it would be.
It was great seeing him tear it up at the Cowichan Bay Regatta. He
single hands this thing all over the Sound.
Paul
English and Joanna Gaski spent 5 weeks (!) cruising the Salish
Sea—and this was AFTER participating in the grueling WA360.
Leela
Ray Barlow is getting Alii Kai back into fighting trim, did her own
bottom paint job, can get her mast up and down, boat on and off the
trailer like a champ. Will soon be giving Jeff Oaklief a run for his
money in terms of speed in the trailer dance (given he is not getting
any younger).
New
Member Anthony Boscolo and team Puget Sound Navigation Company won
the WA360 on their Gougeon 32, with stalwart member Ghislain DeVouton
coming in second on the F25C Mojo.
Jeff
has made a blazing start on new beams for F9 RX Ruf Duck.
We
had a lovely get together in Port Townsend for the WA360 Kickoff. So
much fun to wander the docks, and to lunch together in the Shanghai
restaurant’s party room. Thanks again to Jessica Aarhaus for
organizing it.
We
had a wonderful rendezvous at Blake Island, with an elegant dinner on
the mighty catamaran Presto, where we awarded the Seattle Challenge
course trophy to Joe and Sue Dazey (for a time that will never be
beat).
And
finally, members of the club continue to help each other out on an
epic scale. Launchings, tool lending, advice. It is wonderful to
get and to give.
Holiday Party!
We are getting
together to celebrate all of this and more.
Place: Vince
DePillis and Kristin Bedell’s house: 6414 37th Ave. NW,
Seattle, WA 98107.

New Officers and
Budget
We will have a sign
in and voting sheet for paid-up members at the party on December 6.
The Board has approved a budget which we are submitting to the
membership for an advisory vote, and we have nominated a slate of

The proposed slate

someone else at the December meeting. All of the proposed slate are

you are interested in taking on one of these offices.
