Greetings Multihullers! 

Our June get together will be at the R2AK in Port Townsend (June 13-14).  We are not going to have a separate NWMA party this year, but encourage you to all attend the Ruckus, the big pre race party, which runs from 3PM to 7 PM at the NW Maritime HQ next to Port Hudson, on Saturday, June 13.  Rendez Vous at the beer garden tables at 3:00 PM.

There are, as usual, a number of multihulls in the race, including:

Team Dogsmile Adventures, in a Corsair F27

Team Hull Yeah, in a Corsair F27

Team Lollipop, on a homebuilt tri

Team Lost but Don’t Care, on a Corsair 28R

Team Make Fetch Happen, on a Hobie 20

Team Makika Masala, on a Farrier F25C

Team Mike, Marty and the Bonesaw, on a Corsair 24 Mk 2

Team Northbound Nutters, on a Farrier F32SR

Team Nothing to Sea Here, on a Hobie Tandem island

Team O Race, on a Windrider 17

Team Snowflakes, on a Tornado cat

Team Tips Up, on a Diam 24

Team Triple Threat, on a Newick Tremolino

Team Vantucky, on a Corsair F27

 

The Multihull fleet includes some really experienced sailors, and very fast boats.  Let’s hope one of them takes home the first- to-finish prize money!

Please introduce yourselves to the multihull racers, and let them know about the NWMA.  I look forward to seeing as many of you there as can make it—it is always a good time. 

After the start (Sunday morning at 5AM) we will meet at Point Hudson picnic tables for a potluck breakfast.  Target time 6AM.  The club will arrange for coffee, you bring some treats.

Joanna and I plan to be there by RV camping at Pt Hudson Sat night, and hopefully also nearby on Fri night - couldn't get a spot at Pt Hudson for Fri.

What an epic multihull lineup!!

Hey - all, I am sorry about this, my brain is a scrambled mess at the moment 😂. I can’t remember who was emailing me a week ago about meeting at the docks on Saturday in port Townsend, but I can’t seem to find the email thread and I believe the proposed time - sat at 4.30 now coincides with the ruckus.

I'm replying to Nigel's question about the informal dock party on Saturday which will happen after the rendezvous in the Ruckus beer garden at 3:00.  The plan is for me to have club beer available on the docks starting at 5:30...Mark Olsoe

I'm looking forward to seeing folks on Saturday and Sunday! I plan to arrive and begin visiting on Saturday morning, at the Ruckus Beer Garden at 3pm, at the docks at 5:30pm or whenever I get done enjoying the music at the Ruckus (which starts at 5pm), at the 5am race start, and at the Point Hudson Picnic Tables beginning at 6am for our potluck breakfast. Reminder, the club is providing coffee!
