Hey guys!  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope studying for Step 1 is going well!  I just talked to kirkish and leanne about CERRTS and you just have to love the communication between students, faculty, and administration.

What Leanne Wants: All we need to submit to her are 4 complete histories and physicals.  She stressed that we had to do this physicals during our preceptor visits so make sure the dates on your write-ups coincide with the days you actually visited your preceptor.  Now for the students who couldn't do complete historys and physicals because your preceptor was specialized.  She told me she would understand if we couldn't BUT make sure you date your write-ups to coincide with dates of your preceptor visits, she stressed that.

What Kirkish Wants: So, we are supposed to do write-ups for ALL 45 entries of procedures we performed into CERRTS including the pediatric exam even if we only observed the exam.  The write ups are due before our NBME final, which is the first full week of May, otherwise we will be remediated.  Before you all freak out, just keep reading.  The write-ups should correspond to what you entered in CERRTS.  Therefore, if you did an abdominal exam then all you have to write up is the physical exam of the abdominal exam with a CC and HPI.  If you have yet to enter anything into CERRTS its not too bad, much simpler than last year.  Also, I have attached a sample write up I did and wrote notes on what Kirkish told me in the document.  Now, if need be, you may freak out.

Hope this helps and answers any questions!

Happy Studying!!!!

Neal
