Dear Students,

I have been asked about technique for the physical examination portion of the complete H & P station. The Statewide textbook Bates is the standard against which you will be judged for assessing your technique.

Additionally, some of you have asked about abbreviations. The list of acceptable abbreviations is posted on the Statewide Site. These are the only ones permitted as will be the case when you take Step 2 CS later in your training.
