Visioning Workshop; summary of important dates

Hello everyone,
As you will see from the minutes of last Sunday's meeting that Lesley just circulated, we now have a firm date for the long-discussed visioning workshop (facilitated by Wilf Richards of Abundant Earth). This is a holding email to ensure that everyone who wants to attend the workshop can hold this date. Further details will follow (e.g. after conversations with Wilf tomorrow -Ruth/Helen).
Identity, Vision and Values Workshop: Saturday November 23rd 10am to 4.30pm
The purpose of this workshop is to take stock of previous visioning exercises, including the questionnaire, and to channel this into a 'project' direction (recognising that this process may yet generate more than one core group/project). We are asking that those attending this workshop agree to participate for the full day (10-4.30, allowing time to stretch our legs after lunch, each of us bringing a dish of something to share as a pot-luck indoor picnic). The venue is Commercial Union House on Pilgrim Street, borrowing space from the Green Office on the 4th Floor: the suggestion is that we customise the space to suit our needs and to help create a sense of community. There will be a £10 per person charge for the workshop as a contribution towards the cost of employing a professional facilitator.
There is to be a brief 'pre-workshop meeting' on Thursday November 21st, meeting at 6pm in the entrance to Commercial Union House. This is a chance to view the workshop space and come up with a plan for what to bring and how to arrange seating and other factors necessary to ensure that time is not lost to logistical matters on the day of the workshop. There should be time for a drink!
There is to be a follow up meeting on Thursday December 12th , meeting 6-8pm (probably at Commercial Union House, venue to be confirmed) - this is mostly to maintain the momentum but also to decide other meeting dates and essential practical matters involved in legal/organisational structure etc.
The November 23rd workshop is guaranteed to take place, irrespective of numbers - but please do confirm whether or not you are coming (and that you are coming for the full duration) (email any of the cc'd addresses above). Once we have a firm list of who is coming then we will circulate more detailed guidance on the purpose/expectations/format of the workshop, just to participants, rather than clogging up in-boxes for the everyone on the googlegroups list.
I hope this is OK and makes sense. Apologies if this email is a bit business-like; the workshop will remedy this as a space for people to see things differently as well as explore what we might share in common
