Last Call Qualifier - In Search of Venue

Good Evening North Texas,

I am searching for a venue for our Last Call Qualifier, which should take place on Saturday, February 15th, 2025. 

I've tried two of my contacts, but their venues seem to have fallen through. So I am opening this up to the general FIRST Tech Challenge community in North Texas. We need a venue that can host at least 21 teams but no more than 36 teams. This could be a large gym, two small gyms, a large cafeteria + small gym, etc. (You've been to events, so you should know.)

If you are interested in hosting an event on that date:

• Start the conversation now with your administrator.
• Please contact me as soon as possible at lon.cher...@firstintexas.org.
• Your team is eligible to play at the event (being the host) and may automatically qualify for the Area Championship by being a host of the qualifier depending on eligibility.
• The booster club, the school, the district, or any non-profit organization can get around $1500 for hosting a Qualifier for FIRST in Texas.

I sent this message about searching for a venue three days ago, and I got at least seven teams and organizations around North Texas who checked in with me and expressed interest in doing this. Two of the organizations were so swift and eager that they already booked and secured their venues within hours of my e-mail. I love how interested everyone is in hosting an event for FIRST Tech Challenge. The North Texas Key Volunteers and I have made a final decision, and will inform the North Texas area the location of Last Call Qualifier earlier next week after communicating with all parties who worked hard to make this happen.
