Get Paid to Earn Your Texas Computer Science Certification

SMU is a TACC Secondary Certification Prep Hub. A TACC Secondary Certification Prep hub helps teachers build the knowledge they need to successfully pass the Texas Grades 8-12 Computer Science teacher certification exam. Hubs consist of a cohort of approximately 20 teachers currently certified in subjects other than CS, who complete a professional development sequence that covers the competencies of these TExES exams.

💰 Stipends of $3,000 are provided to teachers who complete the full PD sequence and challenge the CS certification exam. Additional stipends of $2,000 are provided to teachers who successfully pass the certification exam.

🥳 So, you get to join a fun prep hub and have a chance at funding? What’s not to love!? And believe us when we say that we absolutely WANT to give you this money.

  • Southern Methodist University: SMU will select 20 teachers to participate in our secondary certification hub. This program will prepare you to take and pass the TExES 241 8-12 Computer Science Certification Exam. Region 10, Dallas. Deadline: January 23

Don’t wait! Applications close soon!
