Hey all,

Our school is really pushing Industry Based Certifications to complete career pathways.  Have any of you had experience with this?

I am trying to figure out which certification is closest related to what we do in FTC.  Also, the more students who pass the better.

I can't find much information on what the tests are like so I was hoping for some advice.

Thank you

I have a new school this year. At the school I was at before, thry got OSHA 10 and Fusion 360 user. I advocated for more, but it was always a battle.
Now, at the new school I am at, it is crazy. They get Microsoft word, microsoft PowerPoint. Microsoft excel, fusion 360 user, osha 10, and more. They are required to get a cert every semester for every engineering class they are enrolled in. As thry more up, they have options. I'll be offering Fanuk. Thry can choose Revit, solidworks, tinkercad, Autocad, Osha 30, and a ton of Adobe ones. There are probably some I am forgetting.

It doesn't necessarily have to align with FTC. You just need to find a cert in something you already cover moderately at least or choose something g that won't take up a ton of time that counts towards IBC.

Yes. Not every one i listed is an an IBC for what I teach. That list is a good place to decide on what you need to offer though to begin with.
