2 questions:
1.  Elise, we are having trouble opening the 2012 programming ppt.  Any tips?
2.  Dr. Berry:  Are we having the Nov 17th scrimmage?
Thanks
Delene

From Cyrille: the website for some reason trys to open the powerpoint in the browser (which is not possible). What you need to do is right click and do save link as to save it to your computer. If this does not work, please let him know so it can be fixed.

The link to the FLL Advanced Programming powerpoint actually downloads with a .zip extension (at least on windows).  But it’s not a valid zip file.  I renamed the .zip portion of downloaded file to .pptx and it opened fine with powerpoint.

The same process applies to the Advanced NXTG Programming 2012 download – except that the slides it contains are actually for the upcoming attachments workshop.

Well... I guess you won't need to come to the workshop this week-end given that you have seen my entire super advanced top secret presentation on attachments...

I fixed it, it works fine now. Still wants to open the document in the browser though... I did not see the FLL Advanced Programming powerpoint download as a zip though (I tried on a different computer than mine). Now that you downloaded it you should be good but if anyone has the same issue please let me know, I'll further investigate the matter.

Hello everyone,

This Saturday before the attachments workshop, October 27th, Elise and I will be in the SEEC from 10am to noon if you have any questions for us. Unlike the other workshops, you can walk in anytime during the two hours since it is completely informal. You can come with your team's work if you would like us to help you debug programs, or give you pointers or critiques on your building, or we can help you approach a task if you have no idea where to start. Please only bring two team members so that the room is quiet enough to hear each other.

In summary:

When: Saturday, Oct. 27th from 10am to noon
Where: The SEEC at UTD (FN.2.302)
Who: Coaches and teams
What: FLL critique/help session

How do I get access to these links or website?

What is the website?

As I replied before, I get some emails but not others so I don't think I am on all of the email lists. I have been coaching a team for now 3 years up here in northtexasfll. The past 2 years I did not have any problems. Please let me know what I need to do to fix.

Thanks,
Tammy Manning
