HARRIS COUNTY ATTORNEY VINCE RYAN CO-SPONSORSLAW ENFORCEMENT SEMINAR: DIPLOMATIC & CONSULAR MATTERS, JUNE 21, 2010
The University of St. Thomas Center for International Studies, will host a half-day workshop on diplomatic and consular matters for law enforcement on June 21, 2010. An estimated 200 participants are expected to attend this workshop on legal immunities, notifications regarding foreign nationals and related topics.
Mayor Annise Parker is scheduled to bring greetings. Additional speakers include Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan, Precinct 6 Constable Victor Trevino, and U.S. Department of State representatives.
The workshop begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at noon.
The event is co-sponsored by the Harris County Attorney, Harris County District Attorney, Harris County Sheriff, City of Houston and the U.S. Department of State.
Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan said, “This event will provide valuable training to all who attend and help each of us better understand the role of local law enforcement in international relations.”
