On Sunday 6th May Your Rights at Work supporters will be gathering in
Sydney to not only celebrate the achievments of the labour movment but
also to stand together for fairer Aussie workplaces - which means
fairer IR laws!
At Hyde Park North people will be meeting from 11am, with a march
planned to start at 12pm. There will be live music.
>From the Sydney May Day Committee:
"The Sydney May Day Committee is focused on the repeal of the anti-
worker IR laws. We say to get rid of the laws we must get rid of the
Howard Government. The Sydney May Day Committee takes the matter
further though and we say the main issue is the repeal of the laws NOT
JUST the replacement of the Government. We are not a cheersquad for
the alternative Labor/Rudd Government; we make it clear that if an
incomming Rudd Government does not get rid of the IR laws then our
campaign will continue..."
