Landscape Perfume: wildcrafting smudge and place-based aromatics WEDNESDAY NIGHT

When we inhale the fragrant smoke of a wild aromatic herb, we breathe in the molecules of a specific conifer tree or a certain desert sage. Making smudge from a combination of herbs harvested across an entire forest or mesa, we are quite literally ingesting a moment in space and time; the body of a whole place. In this multisensory talk we will explore aromatherapy as memory medicine and herbal smudge incense as a holistic landscape conversation between self, ecosystem, and the spirit of lanscape.
This is a free event. There will be some social time as well as the talk.
