Well gang,
It has been almost two weeks on the road for the biggest bike relay in the world: Accu-Chek Cyclebetes. Two weeks of meeting amazing people, riding incredible routes across our unreal country and two weeks of the most insanely diverse weather you could possibly imagine. Hurricanes, sunshine, rain storms, fog, cold, hot and the list goes on. “Dia-Betsy”, our Norco Bikes tandem is holding on to help deliver the Accu-Chek Nano Diabetes meter across Canada and each and every one of our team members is rocking to their very best ability.
We’ve had incredible response from the media and had some really cool community rides along the way. Moncton, Mississauga, and even had people come out at night to support the baton and the cause in places we have never heard of.
To that end we are coming up to the B.C. leg and in particular the Vancouver 150 and Victoria 125. Both events will help finish off our epic journey across Canada raising awareness and funds for juvenile diabetes research.
Again, we invite you to join us for the Hope to Vancouver ride. It should be a great ride, a great personal challenge and a really solid atmosphere of a ‘can-do’ spirit.
Once again, see if you can make it out. Here are the pertinent details and if the fundraising is a barrier, then just do your best but show up for the ride.
