Hi Group:

A few road riding types are planning to head out on Saturday mornings,
hoping to get the rear end ready for the Seattle to Portland Classic.
You are most welcome to join in, although each rider remains
responsible for their own safety. These rides do not supplant normal
JH Road Rides on Sunday mornings. Make a note of the dates and times.
The current plans are:

Saturday, June 6, 2009 9:00 am The Fort Flatliner

This is a river runners course, heading for Fort Langley, Derby Reach,
and quiet surrounds. We'll begin through the farming flats of Pitt
Meadows, wander eastward adjacent to the Fraser River, then jump the
water to historic and shady Fort Langley, passing historic locales.
Meet at 9:00 am at Starbuck's in Port Moody, on St. John's Street (the
main street) at Queens Street.

Saturday, June 13, 2009 8:00 am The Pitt Push

This will be a day for picturesque mileage without heavy lifting. The
thoughts are to push eastward, past Pitt Polder and through
agricultural lands north of the Fraser River. Starting at 8:00 am at
the John Henry Bicycle Store.

Saturday, June 27, 2009 8:10 am The Qualicum Quaff (also
known as the Tour de Fish & Chips)

This is a seaside wander. We head north from Nanaimo up the Old Island
Highway adjacent the ocean, through Parksville, and on to Qualicum
Beach for lunch by the water. Meet at the Ferry Terminal at Horseshoe
Bay at 8:10 am for riding onto the boat.

Hi Group:
As you can see
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=118191073455619378148.00046c46c3f0c03e91982

the route we took was a bit different than the plan. The red line is
our exact route from the GPS trail. The blue line that picks up from
around Spanish Banks is what I remember after the GPS battery died. I
think it will be pretty close.
My bike computer said 97K when I got home.
