to Northshore Fitness Project - Kauai
Aloha everyone and thank you for your patience on news of a
new fitness center facility. We have hope that your patience is about
to be rewarded!
Members of our committee have been meeting with two health and
wellness innovators, Scott McFarland and Josh Nations, who have just
moved to the Island and plan to open an upscale fitness center at a
location convenient to North Shore residents early this Spring.
They own and operate several fitness centers on the Mainland and have
tremendous backgrounds in health, wellness, and fitness and are very
excited at the opportunity to serve the community in this way by
creating the very thing we need most!
Their plan includes being open 24/7, new strength and cardio
equipment, group exercise classes, and personal training (at
additional cost). Group exercise for all ages will be a HUGE part of
the center. They may have an aquatics solution in the works too.
There will certainly be a plan for former members of the Prince Health
Club.
I don’t know about you, but my muscles have turned to flab and my abs
to jello, so I’ll be so happy to have some structure back in my life.
They are still in final negotiations on the lease, so we have to be
somewhat guarded in our enthusiasm, but they are confident the lease
will be signed soon after which renovations will begin. In the
meantime, they will be contacting and meeting with instructors who
wish to be considered for the new facility.
We plan on passing our sign up sheet information onto Josh and Scott
so if for some reason you do NOT want your information passed on,
please let me know ASAP so that I can remove it from the list.
As they give us more details, we will pass those onto you – so stay
tuned!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...
