OK, Mikey sent me a list of the e-mails currently on the old Northshield Cavalry mailing list. But either Anna or Bridei will need to go into this group and go to
Select my e-mail address (Eowyth - Eow...@GMail.com
) from the list
--> then "Actions"
--> Add to role
--> select "Manager"
If you need/want screenshots of those, let me know. :) From there, I can send an invite to all of the e-mails that I have.
After that, we'll need to change the privacy settings on the group. It's currently set to "Shared Privately" meaning that only Managers & Owners can invite people to the list. Rather than "Shared Publicly" where people can search and subscribe on their own to the list. Even with "Shared Publicly", we can require approval for unknown e-mail addresses (this cuts down on spammers).
Anyone that receives an invite (from the initial send-out) does *not* require an approval, because it's understood that if we are inviting their e-mail address to join us, then we've already "approved" them. :-)
Once we get those share settings changed, we can then send out an e-mail to the old Northshield mailing list AND we can post on Facebook, Google+, etc. to get the word out that the E-Mail list has changed. You'll also want to get that information changed on your websites, etc.
Sorry, in advance, for all the e-mails in getting this set-up. We recently had to migrate our Baronial e-mail list to Google groups, so a lot of this is just fresh in my mind from helping with that.
