Hi everyone,

 

Thanks for coming out to the Challenge game today and making it a fun event.

 

Due to low headcount from Creekside at the beginning, a few Cubberley folks played on the dark team.  And one such player scored a lot (Matt!).  Most Northpark folks played for Creekside.

 

Anyways, the focus of this challenge game is for two pickup groups to get to know each other.  For the people who care about statistics, Creekside swept the 4 games.  I left when the fifth game was in progress.

Hi,

 

The challenge game is TODAY at Lakewood.  Please arrive at noon so we can have the first game start at 12:15.

 

Cubberley – WHITES, Creekside – COLORS.

GAME FORMAT:

- Cubberley - wear white, Creekside - colors.  Bring a spare shirt so we can equalize subs as needed.

- Two fields will be set up.

- First game between Cubberley-A and Creekside-A will start as soon as we have quorum.  Game will be to 11 points, cap at 11.

- Second game between Cubberley-B and Creekside-B will start as soon as we have quorum.  Depending on start time, this game will be to either 9 points or 7 points.

- When both games finish, Creekside teams will switch fields.  Cubberley-A will play Creekside-B, and vice-versa.  Both games will be to 11, cap at 11.

Though Dark swept the pool play, Whites won the final championship game of attrition.  With only 10 players left to decide the ultimate winner of the South Bay challenge game, Whites won the universe point (11-10).

I won’t argue with that!  The best part about today was everyone having a great time while meeting new people.

Sorry Amir I intended to take some photos and videos but I intentionally ignore my phone during games so I completely forgot to capture anything for you.
