I remember there use to be a group of people that would play in North San Jose area, it was very convenient for those folks that work there. I wonder if it will ever spontaneously regroup?

I have 4 to 6 players looking for some play time that does not cost an hour to travel to and from…

Hi Michael,

We tried to start it up around June last year but couldn't get decent numbers. Though now with offices starting to open up again, it might be better. Maybe you can take a survey or have people sign up on Chakra's website. I'm not working or living in the area so I probably won't be as regular, but I'll come out and play when I can.

On a side note, Old Growth, the local grand master's team is looking for players aged 40+ to join this season. If you or anyone you know is interested, let me know.

Your best bet might be the Tuesday wharburton park game, near Cabrillo and San Tomas. https://groups.google.com/g/bracher-park-ultimate-frisbee

Everyone else has gone to either the Encinal game at Cubberly, or the Cupertino game at Creekside. There is also a Wed/Fri game at John Mise, but that’s probably too far for you.

Michael - I’m interested in playing sometimes. I can’t commit to playing every MWF but I can sign up when available and actually show up.

That is great. From the sounds of it, we will likely be able to get enough for games. It also helps if you are able to get others from your working environments interested. I posted it to our internal “groups and organizations” page to spread the word. If you have something similar, try it to see if we can get a few more people.

Does anyone still work at Cisco? This game used to be composed of mostly Cisco players. Maybe we can recruit more players from Cisco since their offices are close by.

I don’t think we need another survey. There seems to be enough interest from the emails to start the game. However, I suggest we use the sign up page for the first few weeks til we have a consistent showing. And we should call a game ON with 10 players instead of 8 since there’s unlikely to be any stragglers in the first few weeks.
