NORTH LOOP NPCT: Regular meeting is TONIGHT 7pm at the COMMUNE

Good morning neighbors!

 

Just a reminder that TONIGHT at 7pm is our regular North Loop Neighborhood Plan Contact Team meeting.  As I mentioned at the last NLNA meeting, this is a group that works to take an active role in shaping the future of our neighborhood.  This is a fantastic group of folks who are proactively working with the city and developers to achieve the long-term goals of our neighborhood to be a walkable complete community with a focus on diversity and inclusivity.  We work with APR (Austin Parks and Rec) on new parks in our neighborhood, TXDoT, CapMetro, and TWP (Transportation and Public Works) on connectivity projects, and Developers on new housing projects that bring density and affordability to our community.

 

Tonight, the focus will be on refining our bylaws that direct how we are able to do business as well as to elect a new slate of board members for the next year.  Please plan to come and participate in these discussions!

 

Details:  Meeting will be held at 7pm Tonight, May 13^th, at the Commune on North Loop

• 7:00-7:05pm: Opening of Meeting and General Announcements
• 7:05-7:15pm: Election of New Board Members
• Chair: Katharina Michalak (1^st Term)
• Vice Chair: Steve Wise (3^rd Term)
• Secretary: Alan Hecht (1^st Term)
• 7:15-7:55pm: Discussion of Bylaws and Proposed Changes
• 7:55-8:00pm: Close of Meeting

 

Please do plan to attend.  We will be voting in the new Board Members at this meeting so it is important for current members to attend.  The Bylaws are being presented at this meeting for a vote at our next meeting in August.
