Greetings,

I hope this finds everyone well. Just a reminder about the Northern
Michigan Home-brewers Guild meeting 6pm MONDAY January 10th at Short's
Brewing Company in Bellaire. During this meeting we will be talking
about what people would like to get out of the group and ideas for
future meetings.

For January, we will be talking about sensory evaluation. Sensory
evaluation is an important part of homebrewing. It allows the
homebrewer to receive feed back on what has happen in a given beer,
whether good or bad. To help us with our skills, we will be
evaluating three or four Short's brews. We will discuss the different
appearance, aromas, tastes and feel of each beer. There is no right
or wrong answer in evaluating but what you sense on your palette.
Sensory evaluation is a skill that can be learned and will grow over
time as you taste more beer. Why not make it your New Years
resolution to be a better beer taster by drinker more beer. Now that
is a New Years Resolution that I can keep. You will not want to miss
this tasting.

Please be respectful of our host and make sure to sample some brews
and food.

Can't wait to see everyone.

Have a great New Years.

Drew

Drew,

I sent a notice of the meeting to the Antrim Review for their 1/6/11 issue “Coming Events” section.
