It is a while since we posted in the Forum and there are a few items to update on.
The next meeting of the NLAAC Forum is on Friday 15th February 10am to 12:30pm at NSCAP. The theme is 'A contemporary look at messages from research on fostering and its application to practice in work with looked after children and their families' and the speakers are Professor Nina Biehal (University of York) and Yvonne Melia and Anna Nattrass (North East Lincs Looked After Children's Service).

A provisional date for your diaries. We are organising a conference for Monday 11th March on the topic of child sexual exploitation at which we are hoping to have Deputy Children's Commissioner Sue Berelowitz speaking. Watch this space for more details.
Forum members might be interested in this paper just published in the Journal of Infant, Child, and Adolescent Psychotherapy by Carolyn Hart, a Child Psychotherapist working with looked after children in Sheffield. The link is to a free access copy of the paper which provides a framework for reflecting on why some children experience multiple placement breakdowns.
