Next LAC Forum - 3rd Feb 2012

Dear Colleagues

The date for the next forum has been set as Friday 3rd February 2012
from 10.00 to 12.30 at NSCAP. We wanted to give members of the online
LAC Forum advance notice of the date.

We would very much welcome any ideas for themes, content or speakers
for this event. We would encourage local services and practitioners to
use the opportunity to showcase developments or good practice.

Please reply to this post to share ideas with the Forum.

Hello Stuart,

As you asked for any ideas and it is National Adoption Week, I thought I would highlight this thread led by the Department of Education on the Adoption UK message board which raises the question: "How could the quality of adoption support provided to adoptive families be improved?"

Many of the replies raise an interesting debate about whether LAC, once adopted, should still be considered LAC. I would be very interested in hearing the LAC forum discuss this.
