'Still parenting but Living Apart'

The theme for this Forum is post-adoption support and the role of
temporary care placements. Anthea Hendry and Jane Vincent from Leeds
CAMHS will discuss their experience of adopted children who have
needed an episode of care in their teens but where the outcome of that
has not been a permanent disruption to the adoptive family
relationships but a helpful breathing space that has enabled more
positive and long term relationships to develop.

They will be joined by two adoptive parents both of whom have had the
experience of their adopted child being placed back in care. The aim
of the morning is to look at what works for these adoptive parents and
how a period in care can sometimes have a good outcome in the long
term. How can professionals help most when working with these
situations?

This is a FREE event and everyone working with children and young
