Hi all,

The Sheffield Bioinformatics Core has a couple of workshops coming-up for those wanting to learn more about Bioinformatics, and in particular the analysis of RNA-seq data. Both of these can be booked via

Introduction to RNA-seq Analysis in R

An in-depth workshop for those wanting to be more hands-on with the analysis and visualisation of RNA-seq data using the R language

6, 8 and 10 November 1 - 4pm

Pre-requisite: working knowledge of R (e.g. using dplyr and ggplot)

Introduction to the command-line for Bioinformatics

Introduction to using command-line systems (e.g. the UoS high-performance computing system) for the processing of high-throughput datasets, and an introduction to analysis pipelines using RNA-seq as an example
