Good Morning Everyone:
As you may know, one of the big issues many of you have expressed interest in pursuing this year in NJ is the adoption of a 911 Amnesty Policy. The intent of such a policy is to protect those individuals that act selflessly to save a life in the event of an accidental drug overdose.
While NJ currently has a watered-down Good Samaritan Policy, we are looking to expand it to include protections for illegal drugs, and hopefully save more lives.
Please fill out this Doodle so that we may set a date for the initial planning meeting for NJ's 911 Amnesty Bill. Also, please forward this message to anyone I may have missed.
During this initial planning meeting we will:
- Define the scope of this proposed policy.
- Identify potential stakeholders, as well as potential Assembly and Senate sponsors.
- Outline a high-level action plan, including short-term goals and a timeline.
Evan Nison and I will facilitate this conference call. I will send the dial-in information to the distribution once everyone has filled out the Doodle with their availability.
Again, please forward this message to anyone I may have missed.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Thank you!
