David and Tim:

I still haven't heard on a telephone meeting time today or tomorrow
morning. The absentee ballot needs to be posted on the list serve by
tomorrow, according to the bylaws.

Also, no candidate statements from the other two individuals from
Fairfax mentioned by David. We need those statements if we want to
put them on the absentee ballot.

If I don't hear from anyone, I will post an announcement tomorrow
confirming the meeting with David's statement for second alternate,
but no ballot, since there are no candidates for regional
representative and alternate representative, so these will have to be
elected at the meeting.

There is also an important issue that we need to discuss. The ECC
is supposed to oversee the election and insure that it is done
fairly. Accordingly, having a candidate who is a member of the ECC,
while not prohibited by the bylaws will require us to make some
procedures to ensure that there is no appearance of conflict of
interest or impropriety. The bylaws give the ECC the power to handle
items affecting the election that are not specified in the bylaws, so
that means that we need to discuss this.

We also need to review the draft of the absentee ballot.

We need to have a telemeeting on Saturday afternoon or evening to
do these two things. What time is good for you?
