                                      NAAC MEETING

                                                       THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 15TH

                                               6 PM - 7 PM STEERING

                                               7 PM - 9 PM GENERAL

This month we will be deciding who will represent the North Area at our Boundary Committee Meeting. This is an awesome opportunity to help direct the District with regard to our boundaries and school assignments. Ideally we would like to have representation from each I Zone and an alternate . But, we do understand how difficult it can be to balance our volunteerism, work and family responsibilities. It is however imperative that our representation can attend all 3 meetings. SAF Chairs are to " nominate".."recommend " parents from their school that may want to play a greater role in advisory. Our group will select 9 representatives to attend on behalf of the area and report back to the area. We must submit our reps. no later than Sept 23rd. Please share this opportunity with your schools and invite friends to attend and join our efforts this month and throughout the school year.{ I have attcahed the nomination form, this form can be submitted online or at this weeks meeting}

  We also will be addressed by Ralph Aiello this month so I have attached the URL lists for the North Area so that you may access the "interactive" program Naviance through your child's school. This is a must see demonstration. In addition to speaking to us and garnering input on the Policy 6000.1, Student Progression Plan.

November 18^th:  School Boundary Committee Public Meeting, Plantation High School auditorium, at 6:00 PM

November 28^th: School Boundary Committee Deliberation Meeting, K. C. Wright School Board Administration Building, 600 SE 3^rd Ave, Fort Lauderdale, 33301, at 6:00 PM
