Proposed zoning amendments in the residential districts have been submitted to City Council as the next step in the long conversation about zoning changes for which public meetings were held last September. Since the September public forums on the draft, changes have been made based on comments, concerns and issues stemming from those conversations. The proposed zoning amendments that have now been formally submitted for Council review/adoption seek to modify existing regulations in order to reflect the existing neighborhood districts surrounding Florence Center, downtown Northampton and neighborhoods in between.
