As I'm sure you're aware, Amtrak service is returning to Northampton on 12/29! I received word from the Amtrak Police Department that they are conducting a public awareness initiative for schools and other groups on high speed rail safety issues such as the danger of crossing railroad tracks at other than designated railroad crossings, etc. The officer in charge has asked Northampton city councilors to share this information with city residents to encourage them to consider contacting the Amtrak Police Department for trainings and related materials. I'm attaching some flyers that they've designed for the trainings, and for use with the public.
