Scheduling: end of November?

Working in the background on scheduling and organising the venue. 

Due to Science week, student holidays, Sligo Live and Conferring, the best date we could find to have an event in IT Sligo would be 28-29th of November. Other than that the only dates available are before mid-October, and that is simply too soon. 

One of the important things is securing IT Sligo as not only a venue, but also a host and participant in planning the event. This makes a huge difference because otherwise we would have to arrange separately for insurance. I know the two Heads of Departments I have spoken to so far see the obvious benefits for IT Sligo hosting this event, and would be fully on-board and seeking ways they can be involved. However, we don't get a formal opportunity to present a proposal to the Executive Committee until they convene in early September. 

So, this means we might not get an official confirmation until that time. 

I will continue to contact each member of the committee individually before that time, and prepare the proposal. 

Does anyone know of scheduling conflicts with regional or national events on the 28th & 29th of November?
