Hello Enda,
Thank you for this sleuthing and advocating.
This is very timely. Not only are we looking for speakers, but Feargus pointed out we didn't have a gender balance.
I hope you don't mind I'm ccing the group. So much activity, now we're getting somewhere.
We'll get the list of interested speakers, and put it all on the table on the 8th. Well done everyone. This is really a group/collaborative effort.
We'll need to speak to individuals directly to determine if they suit a panel, a presentation or a lightning talk... And find out who can offer clinic appointments.
So excited about this event, it's at least going to be memorable. I look forward to seeing what action and results come out of it.
I'll be away from today to 6th September. But I'll be checking in,
Heather

Fantastic work on the conference,
I was just talking to @onlinemeetings recently. They're an Irish company who do online collaboration software. They'd probably be willing to sponsor a slot where we have one of the speakers from say Silicon Valley.
I know Aisling McRunnels, VP of Marketing for Sun Microsystems would be more than happy to take part. She's originally from County Mayo. I had a good chat to her a few weeks back about innovation in Ireland. She's direct and an excellent speaker as well. I'm sure she'd have some things to say about forming collaboration between the NW and other pockets of innovation like The Valley.
There are other people I have in mind as well but only some of them would have direct ties to the North West.
Anyhow just a suggestion.
