Fun opportunity.  The American kestrel is North America's littlest falcon and one of the most colorful of all raptors.  The entrance to the preserve is at the west end of Arbor Road.

Please join us at the Candelaria Nature Preserve on Friday, February 13, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM to build bird boxes.

The American Kestrel is a resident at the Preserve and a secondary cavity nester. Because a lack of suitable cavities in large trees can limit their breeding success, the Preserve is looking for volunteers to help build and install bird boxes throughout the property.

We hope to see you there! Bring your own battery-operated drill w/screwdriver attachment, if you like!
