Dear Community Members:
The City of Albuquerque Open Space Division (OSD) would like to share important updates regarding the San Antonio Oxbow Bluffs (SAOB) project. We truly appreciate your continued interest and involvement in the planning and development of this unique property.
Since acquiring the site in 2021, OSD, together with partners and community input, has engaged in an extensive planning process that led to the approval of a SAOB Site Plan by the Environmental Planning Commission. Site Plan approval gave a “green light” to prepare comprehensive construction documents and develop an interpretive signage plan. With these detailed plans now complete, Phase One construction is scheduled to begin this summer. Attached is a flyer for a couple of upcoming opportunities to engage in public events. Please contact Dustin Chavez-Davis at dchave...@cabq.gov for more information about these opportunities.
Additionally, OSD along with the Mayor’s office will be hosting a “ground breaking” event toward the end of May. We will send out the date as soon as it is confirmed along with any additional updates and notifications. If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to reach out to me directly or visit the project website for updates. https://www.cabq.gov/parksandrecreation/open-space/lands/san-antonio-oxbow-extension
Thank you for your continued support and engagement. Please forward to other community members who may be interested in this engagement.
