Friends of Candelaria Nature PreserveCome join us this Friday, May 29 at the Candelaria Nature Preserve. We will be there from 9am to Noon. Any volunteer time you can offer is welcome! Join other Friends of CNP and Rio Grande Return (RGR) Staff. If you haven’t had the opportunity to spend time on the preserve .. this is a perfect time. Help to transfer plants from the Native Plant Nursery to the fields. We will plant shrubs and grasses followed by watering and mulching. “Many hands make light work”. There’s always lively discussion and your mind and body will be greatly rewarded. We’ll provide water and snacks. Bring hat, gloves, long pants, close-toed shoes and water. You can park in the finished parking lot at the Tree Nursery and walk through the west exit that will bring you onto the acequia path. Go north and enter the Preserve through the gate to the right of the drive-thru gate. Alternatively, park alongside the Big Jim garden along the fencing just east of the acequia. BRING FRIENDS.
