As noted in recent meetings, Steven Martinaitis
and
Stanley Christmas, our current president and treasurer, announced they
will not be accepting nominations and election in May. If you are interested in supporting the chapter as an
elected officer, or know someone who might be interested, please let us
know. We actively meet about nine months a year, September to May. All
members, please plan to attend this meeting for chapter officer nominations and elections, as well as for other chapter business.

Dr. Lisa Bucci, Hurricane Specialist at the National Hurricane Center. Dr. Bucci will
speak about "
From space, aircraft, land, and sea to an NHC forecast"
Because it is an active forecast office, there are ground rules that we will apply and adhere to.
- First
is the time to arrive. We will be allowed into the building 15 minutes
prior to the meeting. We will not have access to the building and
conference room before then.
- Our movement will be confined to
the entrance area, the conference room, and the hallway to the left that
leads to the bathrooms.
- We will not go into the operational areas.
- Once
the meeting concludes, we will depart the building in a timely fashion
in order to not disrupt operations and allow the conference room to be
available for other meetings.
