Hi All,
We've had some notable volcanic events the last few years. And the atmospheric impacts from them are covered by NWS forecasts and products (like volcanic ash advisories). But what was it like to handle a volcano (or more specifically, the biggest modern-day eruption in the US) over 40 years ago? Our treasurer, Stanley Christmas, will talk about what that was like from his NWS perspective.
Please come join us in person or online for this meeting. Note that if you do attend to be in-person, the doors will open up only 15-min in advance and our foot traffic will be limited to the entrance, conference room, and restrooms. This is to minimize our impact to current NWS operations.
Thanks,
Steve
