North Raleigh Rainmakers BNI Members,
We have a short fall in our funding for Professional Development Day that needs to be resolved now. It was discussed at the last Chapter BNI meeting and we have now developed a solution which will necessitate each member paying an additional $20.00 in Chapter dues over the next 2 months.
Let me provide some background. The chapter is short $150.00. There are two causes of the shortage.
I have opened a new Bank Account in accordance with BNI guidance that is a no fee account. That resolves the first issue.
While the second issue remains unresolved, it is a true exception. Since our chapter started we have 27 members come and go and only 1 has left the chapter owing chapter dues.
To resolve the second part of this issue the officers have decided the best solution is for us as members to pay a special assessment of $20.00. This can be done by paying $70.00 for your February chapter dues or paying $60.00 for your February and March dues. Which you chose is up to each member. At the same time each member must pay the special assessment.
This will resolve the $150.00 shortage and create a small reserve in the Chapter bank account.
By the way, if you haven't read between the lines, we still owe Art Radtke $100.00 for January. I think he as been very flexible but we do owe him the balance for January and I don't think we want a similar situation in February.
Remember that Chapter Dues are due the first meeting of each month, but feel free to pay your February dues ($60 or $70) this Friday (1/30/15) if you so chose.
