I have to cheer you on. Rally all speakers. As Mark Victor Hansen
is known to say "Business is BOOMING"

I am so tired of the news and hearing people whine. The past week I
presented at three different events and experienced something that is
amazing. There was an energy... a buzz. a sense of a revival in the
air. The groups were dramatically different - high end corporate tech
company, entrepreneurial group, and a women's professional group.

All three erupted into this energy ball of power. It was as though
the people wanted to sing at the top of their lungs "We're not going
to take it any more" I agree and I hope you do to.

I learned something after 9/11. I believed all the hype that
everything was bad, bad in our industry and because of that belief I
stop selling because ....I thought "well what's the point". I got
caught up with the "everything sucks" mode.

Then I met speakers a few years later who had their best years
beginning just after 9/11. Why.. because everyone else stopped cold,
brought the hype and gave up calling and marketing.

Not this time. I found that people are still buying, The employment
rate is 92%. That is the opposite of the unemployment rate (8%).
HELLOOO most Americans are working and still have their jobs.

Those Americans also still requiring training, education, networking
etc. It is just quieter. There is almost guilt that they have a job
and things are going well for them...... Imagine being guilty because
life is good :( we, speakers, have the power and ability energize
and serve these people They need us... they need us to sell our
services and show up. They need and want our books, our products and
our passion.

Am I diversified... yes. Do I reach many different markets...yes. Are
people still having meeting ....yes. Are they having lavish meetings?
No. Are they looking for creative ways to have big impact? YES....

Please... remain passionate. Promote yourselves. Bring your
enthusiasm and your spirit.
