Government Meeting Planners Association

I just joined the Government Meeting Planners Association. Has anyone
attended their meetings in either Tallahassee or Central Florida?

Do you work with the Federal Government? I work with the Army, Navy,
Army National Guard, SSA, NASA and a couple of others.

I also work in other industries.. Government work is different.
Different paperwork, More involved procurement. How do you manage
your offices to deal with the protocol?

I have spoken to Government and there is a fair amount of
paperwork...and you'll never get paid in advance (at least from my
experience). Where did you go to join the Government MPA??

I always get paid in advance or the day of with my government
planners. Rarely have I had to wait. Also the paperwork depends on
who and where you speak. I'm so used to it and so is my staff that it
is a non issue for us.

I started putting a 2.5% pre pay incentive in my contracts (most
government agencies must take the incentive if it is offered. that
goes for corporate contracts also)
