Induction

Hi everyone, 

Thank you for welcoming me a few Wednesdays back. I am very excited about what you have going and I have signed up as a member. Would anybody have time to take me through an induction? I can pop round next welcome Wednesday or any weekday evening (except Thursday) next week. I'd be very grateful and come bearing biscuits. Of course, no rush.

Hi Issy,

I could do an induction on either Monday or Tuesday evenings if either of those work.

Wednesday is the festive party, so probably not the ideal time (although workable if needed).

I'd also love to induct onto the laser cutter but I don't know if this is best to do once I have a project in mind?

We don’t do multiple inductions at the same time I am afraid as we have found that just does not work. I don’t want to speak for Dan but I suspect he will be happy to do one induction after another, or do it another time for that matter if that is more convenient.

Hi Issy,

I should be around from 17:30 on Monday, so any time between then and 21:00 would be fine.

The hackspace and laser inductions will take around 45mins in total.

Alistair beat me to it, but yes, as a general rule I will only do 1-on-1 tool inductions.

But there would be plenty time on Monday to get an induction if you wanted.

Sorry Samuel, you need to be a member to use the laser cuter and to use the space on a Monday.

The best thing to do is to come in on one of our Welcome Wednesday visitor nights, find out what is what, then kick off the joining process by completing the Join Us form.

Also this kind of discussion normally happens on the closed members list, and we should perhaps move this back to that to avoid further confusion. If anyone is a member and not on the list them let me know and we can sort it out.
