Greetings People of Maker Space,

Remember me?  That's right, I'm still around.  I hope you are all keeping well.

I have a Lumber Jack SWL 350 wood lathe that's gathering dust.  Shame really, as it's a great starter machine.  So, rather than list it on Freecycle right now, I though I'd ask you guys if the Maker Space could use such a thing.

BTW, there are no turning tools with it, it's just the machine, turning centre and a face plate.

If you want it, just let me know and it's yours.
If you don't want it, not a problem, I'll slap it on Freecycle anyway.

Disclaimer (this is the small print).  This is not a donation to a specific person, it's a donation to the Maker Space as a whole.  I will only reply to the people who I remember from my time at Maker Space.  If you don't know me, then please don't reply asking for the thing, as I'll simply ignore you.  (that's right, I'm still as blunt as ever)

thanks

Steve

Hi Steve!

Having had a chat with a few other members, the consensus is "Yes, please".

We would be keen to have this in the space and think that yes, we could find space to make it available to members!

What would be the best way to get it to us? I would be able to collect if you're fairly local, or of course, if you happen to be in a position to swing by the space, that also works well :-)

Thanks

David

Hi David,

Good to hear from you.  I assume the Maker Space is still in the old Auto Trader building.  I bet the fly-over being closed isn't causing any issues at all!!!! lol.

I'm currently in Birtley, about 5 mins drive from Washington Services.  I don't get to town much these days.
I'm happy for someone to come here, or I can meet someone somewhere closer to the Maker Space.

If you want to take this chat off this group, feel free to email me directly. (it'll get redirected to me some how)

thanks

Steve
